Vacuum question for the Techs

Vacuum question for the Techs
by Kage on Fri, Apr 10 2009 10:42 AM
I was reading my manual for my vacuum gauge and see that it states that it was calibrated in california at sea level. And that when testing above sea level I need to add 1" for every 1000' above sea level. Is this the same with the techs gauge or is it calibrated at Nebraska's elevation?? If it is calibrated at sea level are we gonna be given an elevation allowance on vacuum for a true vacuum reading????

Well that suck- or needs to suck . LOL
I am sure that we will have a guage that will be calibrated but Sometimes we catch hell from someone. We will do the best we can. I bet you have already tuned up more vacuum by now anyway.
And I know we have a special guage for Kansas- cause of their elevation. There is a certain Racer from there that I like to give crap to... LOL

Thank you that is what I was wanting to know. I haven't had much of a chance to finish tuning the motor with all the rain we have been getting but I am sure that I can get my 1" found. I just wanted to know cause it would suck to pull my truck 5-6 hrs and find out that I didn't pass tech for the class I thought I was going to be in. Thank you..
