Rules & Classes 2011

* Indicates a Change From Previous Season

TROPHY CLASS (Trophy Payouts Only)

Tires:

  • 33” or less – DOT Approved – No Cutting or Grooving

Engine & Transmission:

  • Must be Corporate Matching
  • * Must pull at least 19” of Vacuum at 1,000 RPM at the Intake Manifold – No Vacuum Pumps Allowed
  • No After Market or Performance Blocks Allowed
  • Must have Factory Production Heads – No Aluminum Heads Allowed
  • Must be Naturally Aspirated (No Blowers, Super Chargers, Turbos, etc.)
  • No Racing Fuel Allowed – No Nitrous or Alcohol (E-85 Allowed if Factory Flex-Fuel)
  • No After Market Ignition Systems – Aftermarket Rev Limiters Allowed (No Multi-Spark Controllers)
  • EFI Engines Must have Factory Programming – No Chips
  • After-Market Fuel Injection Not Allowed
  • * Must Have Full Exhaust to the Rear End – No Larger Than 2 ½” Pipe for Dual or 3” Pipe for Single
  • Intake Manifolds must be Dual-Plain - No Air-Gap Intakes – No Cutting or Welding Manifolds
  • Radiators Must be Located in Factory Position
  • * Factory Equivalent Torque Converters and Shifters Only (No Stalls, Ratchet Shifters or Transmission Brakes)
  • * Factory Equivalent Fuel Delivery Systems Only (Tank, Fuel Pump, Regulator – No Fuels Cells HP Fuel Pumps etc.)
  • * No Solid Cams

Body & Suspension:

  • Must be Corporate Matching
  • Must have Both Front and Rear Bumpers
  • No more than 6” Total Lift
  • No Gutting – No Cutting Fenders
  • Must have Full Bench Seat or Two Bucket Seats
  • Must have a Factory Box or a Flatbed that covers the Same Area as a Factory Box (Flatbeds must be capable of supporting 400 lbs at any given point)
  • Minimum 3-Leaf Rear Suspension No Suspension Conversions (Leaf Stays Leaf, Coil Stays Coil, Torsion Bar Stays Torsion Bar)

Other:

  • May have No More than One of these Two:
    • Aluminum Intake
    • Headers

* POWDER PUFF TROPHY CLASS (Trophy Payouts Only)

  • Any Vehicle that has been Tech Inspected to pass the Trophy Class.
  • No drivers from Previous Classes

MODIFIED STOCK CLASS

Tires:

  • 35” or less – DOT Approved – No Cutting or Grooving

Engine & Transmission:

  • Must be Corporate Matching
  • Must Pull at least 17” of Vacuum at 1,000 RPM at the Intake Manifold – No Vacuum Pumps Allowed
  • No After Market or Performance Blocks Allowed
  • Must have Factory Production Heads – No Aluminum Heads Allowed
  • Must be Naturally Aspirated (No Blowers, Super Chargers, Turbos, etc.)
  • Racing Fuel Allowed – No Nitrous or Alcohol (No E-85)
  • * After-Market Ignition Systems Allowed
  • After-Market Fuel Injection Not Allowed
  • May Run Open Headers – No Vertical Headers Allowed
  • Intake Manifolds Must be Dual-Plain - No Air-Gap Intakes – Aluminum Intakes Allowed – No Cutting or Welding Manifolds
  • Transmission Brakes Not Allowed
  • Radiators Must be Located in Factory Position

Body & Suspension:

  • Must be Corporate Matching
  • Must have Both Front and Rear Bumpers

SUPER STOCK CLASS

Tires:

  • 40” or less – DOT Approved – Cutting and Grooving Allowed on Rear Tires Only

Engine & Transmission:

  • Must be Corporate Matching
  • Must pull at least 14” of Vacuum at 1,000 RPM at the Intake Manifold – No Vacuum Pumps Allowed
  • Must be Naturally Aspirated (No Blowers, Super Chargers, Turbos, etc.)
  • Racing Fuel Allowed – No Nitrous or Alcohol (No E-85)
  • After Market Fuel Injection & Ignition Systems Allowed – No Remote Timing Modules
  • May run Open Headers – Vertical Exit Allowed (Must Provide Remote Vacuum Line for Tech Inspection if Vertical Headers)
  • Must run Single Carburetor
  • Aluminum Heads Not Allowed
  • Transmission Brakes Not Allowed
  • Must run Transfer Case

Body & Suspension:

  • * Must be Corporate Matching – Axle Swaps Allowed
  • No Gutting – Trimming Fenders to Accommodate Larger Tires Allowed – Interior and Dash Removal Allowed
  • All Non-Removable Body Panels & Doors Must Be In Place and Structurally Sound
  • Must Have All Factory Glass – Bronco’s, Blazers, etc… May Have Top Removed (Must have Protection for Rear Window)
  • * Must have a Factory Box or a Flatbed that covers the same area as a factory box (No Box Skins)
  • Single Race Seat Allowed
  • No Body Swaps (No small Pickup with V8 unless it was factory)
  • * Minimum 3-Leaf Rear Suspension
  • * No Suspension Conversions (Leaf Stays Leaf, Coil Stays Coil, Torsion Bar Stays Torsion Bar)

Additional Safety:

  • Rear Drive Shaft Loop and Scatter Guards Required – See General Rules for Specs
  • * Roll Over Protection STRONGLY RECCOMENDED – 4 Points to the Frame

* POWDER PUFF CLASS

  • Any Vehicle that has been Tech Inspected to pass the Modified Stock or Super Stock Class.
  • No drivers from Previous Classes (Trophy Class Drivers Allowed)

OPEN CLASS

  • Must be Safe - Tech's Decision is Final ( Driveshaft Loops, Suspension etc. )
  • No Nitrous or Alcohol
  • Must be Naturally Aspirated (No Blowers)
  • All Non-Removable Body Panels & Doors Must Be In Place
  • Rear Drive Shaft Loop and Scatter Guards Required – See General Rules for Specs
  • * Must Have Rear Window Protection
  • * Roll Over Protection STRONGLY RECCOMENDED – 4 Points to the Frame

GENERAL RULES

  • Head to Head – Double Elimination
  • * Payouts will be distributed evenly across non-trophy classes (No late sign-ups or refunds)
  • Top 3 Winners from Each Class may be Impounded & Tech Inspected Post Race
  • All Vacuum Readings will be Taken Directly from the Intake Manifold.
  • No Readings will be Taken from Carburetors or Base Plates
  • Any Vehicle that Looses Anything (Trash, Body Panels, Drivelines, etc.) During a Race will Forfeit the Race
  • Drive Shaft Loop Specs:
    • Front Driveline: One Scatter Guard on the Pinion of Front Axle
    • Rear Driveline: One Loop (1/4” x 1” Steel or 3/8” x 1-1/2” Aluminum) and Two Scatter Guards
    • Scatter Guards must be at least 1/8” steel and completely cover both yokes (full circle).
  • Must be at least 16 years of age with proof of a valid drivers license

SAFETY FOR ALL CLASSES

  • No Consumption of Alcoholic Beverages Allowed by Drivers Prior or During Racing
  • No Alcoholic Beverages Allowed on Track
  • Working Fire Extinguisher Required – Must be Securely Mounted in all Classes Except Trophy Classes
  • 50-foot rule (No persons or pit crew will be allowed on the starting line during races except for authorized personnel.)
  • Must be Safe in General – Tech’s Decision is Final
  • Must Have DOT Helmet – Factory or Racing Seat Belts Must be Used
  • Must Have Front and Rear Tow Hooks or Chains
  • Fuel Supply and Battery Must Be Bolted or Strapped in Place
  • All Brakes (Front and Rear) in Good Working Order
  • Neutral/Clutch Safety Switches are required and will be checked
  • No More Than 1 Passenger per Vehicle – All Passengers Must be At Least 18 Years Old and Wear Helmets and Seat Belts

* SEASON POINTS

  • Season Points will be awarded to individual drivers per class
  • Points will be awarded on CCMD Sanctioned Races Only
  • Points will be awarded per race as follows:
    • 1st Place = 5 Points
    • 2nd Place = 4 Points
    • 3rd Place = 3 Points
    • Show Up = 1 Point (Must Enter Class - Does not accumulate for that race if you place)
  • If classes are combined, points will be awarded to the higher class only
